As you all know, accessible public transport is something I am very passionate about and this is why I started Hailo. Over the past few months Hailo has been running a Pilot in New South Wales. The learnings and feedback from those who are using Hailo has been invaluable. However, the pilot is coming to and end and there are a lot of people who have wanted to experience Hailo, but haven't been able to do so. To give people the opportunity to hail a bus using Hailo, select their destination and know the bus driver will get this info in advance, we are running an experience day on the 17th of June in Sydney on the B-line. Project Complete: Donaldson Group and Fife Young Carers We are delighted to share the successful completion of a transformative project by Donaldson Group working in support of Fife Young Carers (FYC). FYC is a lifeline for young people across Fife who dedicate themselves to supporting family members with physical or mental health challenges, disabilities, or substance misuse issues. While they currently provide essential services to 1,000 young carers, they know that an estimated 6,000 young carers in the region could benefit from its support. Its previous website was a hurdle in reaching and engaging these young carers and their families. But now, thanks to the dedicated efforts of Donaldson Group’s #SkilledVolunteers, FYC has a modern, accessible website that it can maintain and update to ensure that all its stakeholders have access to the latest information: https://lnkd.in/ewy5a5-J Key Features of the New Website: 🔹 Accessible and Inclusive Design: Ensures that all young carers can easily navigate the site and find support. 🔹 Improved Resource Access: Provides clear pathways to vital resources, enabling carers to quickly connect with the help they need. 🔹 Community Engagement: Strengthens FYC’s ability to raise awareness and reach more of the young carers who need its support. 🔹 Ease of Management: Streamlined backend processes allow FYC staff to keep the website up to date, ensuring long-term sustainability. There’s a special kind of magic that happens when a team comes together with one purpose: to make lives better. This wasn’t just about serving meals to over 600 people across Trinidad—it was about sharing kindness, sparking hope, and showing love where it’s needed most. Volunteerism is deeply personal to me. It’s about stepping outside of ourselves, connecting with others, and knowing that even the smallest act of care can leave a lasting impact. There are a number of parts that have led to me creating www.wegettobe.io and www.wegettobe.com I have never had to move off of the path of creating this because this question is still to be answered in full by the action replacing the question asked: I took this in 2014, watching this happen again and again for over 4 hours, people helping others, people who they do not know. "Why do we not do this outside of this setting?" How do we create this.
