Four months ago allude was born from the desire to do something different. We sought to penetrate a market heavily saturated by nearly every conceivable variation of product offering. And we succeeded in doing so with little to no basic market knowledge. The classic linked-in post format, written by a middle-aged white guy in mid-level management might now seek to impart on you some profound revelation. But we won't. We can't. After all, the success we found came from nothing other than late nights poring over cryptic top-heart-base note triangles and trips to permanently shuttered essential oil stores in an attempt to figure out what the hell "amber musk" smelled like. We pivoted more times than we can remember on more ideas than we can count. But with each pivot, each iteration, we moved forward, we learned, and we got closer to our ultimate goal.
