Nurture wellbeing & promote green awareness with Terrarium Making Workshop - a little oasis of calm. In line with our commitment to promote #sustainable living and #holistic #wellness at Asahi Asia, our staff at the Hong Kong office recently participated in a hands-on Terrarium Making Workshop to unwind and add some greenery into the work environment. The workshop was hosted by Lovely Green Gardening Studio and was suitable for all skill levels, with all basic materials provided. Our staff enjoyed a moment of serenity by constructing and crafting their own unique terrariums - from preparing the plant by washing the roots, to laying the foundation layers for the pants to grow, to choosing how to arrange and design the plants and other accessories and learning the knowledge about after-care, allowing #creativity flourishing and a reconnection with nature. At Asahi, we cherish and strive to create meaningful connections - with the #planet and with our people. Stay tuned with more updates from Asahi Beer Asia! #wellbeing #createmeaningfulconnections #substainabilityawareness #Asahibeerasia

In DNV We Care. That is why our managers Dare us to Share honest feedback. This is what I shared in last survey Having a strong diverse team is like a garden of different flowers 🌻🌺🌼🪻🌹 It is the most beautiful and attractive garden the more colors and different type of flowers we have. The company is the soil where we are all rooted. An employee is a seed. With the right nutrition and conditions, they can grow to be a beautiful flower. It is the managers task to provide the right conditions for the flower to bloom, they control the resources. Resources like the fresh air, sunshine and water that the plants need 🌬️💦☀️ Each flower have different preferences on how to grow and bloom. Some plants need a lot of sunshine, some flowers prefer to grow in the shadow. Some need a lot of water, others less. Some are delicate flowers, others resilient like a cactus. This is equity. Also managers should support to remove burdens that we can deliver our best, remove the weed. Simplify admin tasks, ensure our tools are working When we have a bright colorful garden, then we are in the best position to serve the bees - our clients 🐝 Together we can produce honey 🍯 Managars are crucial to lead the way for the bees, make sure they come to our garden and dont choose other garden. Making the strategy, which territory do we place our garden. What is the best way that we can make honey. We all know the honey could not be happen without the support of sun and water, but these should not take credit that they made the honey. The flowers are the direct source of the honey. Different pH in the soil can affect the color of the flower, how they will bloom. But mostly the color is decided by the nature of the flower. Some will bloom to be managers, some to technical experts or KAM. Managers should be careful to decide the color of a flower. They should support the nature of the flower so it can fully bloom and shine proudly🌻🌺🌼🪻🌹 If you affect the pH too much to control the color, the flower may wither instead 🥀 #LifeAtDNV #YouAreAtTheHeartOfIt #DiversityEquityInclusion #WeCareWeDareWeShare #HonestFeedback

Two Top Tips to create a wild garden space: Garden - Whether your garden is large or small, the best thing you can do is leave a bit of it to go wild. By dedicating a patch where the weeds can grow, the grass is allowed to get long, or parts of a hedgerow are kept untrimmed, you’ll be creating a rich Wild Space for butterflies and moths to thrive. Patio - Make a butterfly fruit feeder! Try leaving out soft fruits like bananas, berries, melons, oranges and plums in your Wild Space. Butterflies and moths feed through their straw-like tongues and so mushier, over-ripe fruit is best. Try chopping and freezing it first to make it extra soft. When the fruit has dried out, replace it with some more. Transforming Teams with Tailored, Immersive Workshops | Non-Conventional Leadership Mentor for Startups & SMEs
Sipping coffee in my garden, I'm struck by how quickly it's become a wild, beautiful space. This observation led me to reflect on sustainability, from my small plot to global goals. In my latest newsletter, I explore how tending a garden mirrors our approach to personal habits and global challenges. I delve into the UN Sustainable Development Goals, finding parallels with my own gardening philosophy. Both require adaptability, long-term thinking, and a balance between chaos and control. I also grapple with a personal paradox: why is it easier to trust the process in my garden than in forming new habits? Insights from psychologist Wendy Wood shed light on this question, revealing how our environment shapes our behaviors. From the 'rolklaver' overtaking my pond to the challenge of making drawing a daily habit, I've found that creating the right environment is key to nurturing growth - whether in gardens, global initiatives, or personal development. Join me in pondering how we can create spaces where sustainable practices flourish, in all areas of our lives. #Sustainability #PersonalGrowth #Gardening

🌱 Is your garden getting a bit crowded? It might be time to give your plants some breathing room! Did you know that you can easily multiply your favorite plants by splitting them? It's a simple process that not only helps your garden thrive but also gives you more plants to spread the green goodness! 💚✂️ Here's how you can do it: Choose a healthy, mature plant that has outgrown its space. Carefully dig around the base of the plant to loosen the soil. Gently lift the plant out of the ground. Use a sharp knife or garden tool to divide the plant into smaller sections, making sure each section has its own roots and stems. Replant the divided sections in their new locations, ensuring they have enough space to grow. By splitting your plants, you're not only rejuvenating your garden but also creating new opportunities for growth and beauty. Plus, it's a fun and rewarding way to connect with nature! 🌿✨ #GardeningTips #PlantCare #GreenThumb #NatureLovers #GrowYourOwn #PlantPropagation

Developer (HTML/CSS/JS/PYTHON) | Tea Garden Land Surveyor (Expert in all kinds of Survey & Water Logging Problems) | Socio-Political Surveys | A Pianist
In the tranquil expanse of a tea garden, where the verdant bushes sway gently in the breeze and the distant hills frame the horizon, lies a perfect harmony of continuity. Here, amidst the lush greenery and serene landscape, the concept of continuity takes on a profound meaning, akin to the seamless integration of analog and digital realms. Analog in the tea garden manifests in the timeless rhythm of nature—the slow, deliberate growth of tea bushes, the shifting hues of leaves with the changing seasons, and the steady passage of time marked by the rising and setting sun. It represents the organic flow of life, rooted in centuries-old traditions and practices, where each leaf plucked is a testament to the enduring bond between humanity and the land. On the other hand, the digital perspective offers a modern lens through which to view the tea garden—a realm where technology intersects with tradition to optimize processes and enhance quality. From precision irrigation systems that ensure optimal soil moisture to data analytics that fine-tune harvesting schedules, digital innovation complements the natural continuum, empowering farmers to navigate challenges and maximize productivity sustainably. Yet, amidst the juxtaposition of analog and digital, a deeper truth emerges—the inherent interconnectedness of all things. Just as the roots of the tea bushes intertwine beneath the soil, so too do analog and digital elements blend seamlessly to uphold the continuity of the tea garden. It is a testament to adaptability and resilience, where tradition and innovation converge to safeguard the timeless beauty of nature's bounty. In this serene sanctuary, where the whispers of the wind mingle with the hum of technology, continuity reigns supreme. It is a reminder that progress need not come at the expense of tradition, nor innovation overshadow the sanctity of nature. Instead, it is the harmonious fusion of analog and digital that sustains the delicate balance of the tea garden, ensuring its legacy endures for generations to come.

🔍 FYI - A vegetable garden can energize and enliven a property! Flowers and greenery add visual interest to your landscape but vegetable gardens fill the 5 senses and provide sustainability. Produce introduces unique and unexpected colors and textures to a landscape comprised largely of shrubs and flowers. Additionally, many vegetables emit a scent that can be comforting and inviting. If you don’t want to dedicate entire sections of your landscape to growing vegetables, then place herbs around the edges of your garden beds. This will help you decide how to proceed in the future when it comes to expanding. #homeandliving #sustainabilitymatters #environmentalsustainability #sustainabilitytips #sustainabilityinstyle #sustainabilityeducation #sustainabilitygoals #sustainabilitylifestyle #consciousliving #vegetablegarden #vegetablegardening #vegetablefrommygarden #vegetablegardens #gardenvegetables #organicvegetablegarden #myvegetablegarden #backyardvegetablegarden #homevegetablegarden #backyardgarden #growyourownfood #growingvegetables #fyi #facts #homehacks #newjersey

An Overgrown Garden... We've all seen a really beautiful garden right? One that has had hours and hours of work. The owner planting and maintaining their plants with such care and enthusiasm? But then, for some unknown reason, it becomes neglected. The owner has become unable to tend their garden with the same levels of attention... And forward a few years, and it's a jungle.! Weeds choke out prized roses. Vines strangle once beautiful shrubs. You can barely see the path that was once lovingly laid. This overgrown garden? It's your Quality Management System (QMS). At Volta Insite, we've seen countless companies struggle with QMS's that started with the best intentions but grew wild over time. What was once a tool for efficiency became a labyrinth of procedures, choking productivity and innovation. The thing is... Your QMS doesn't have to be a tangled mess. Simplifying your QMS is like pruning that overgrown garden! → Clear the Weeds: Identify and remove unnecessary procedures that clutter your system. → Uncover the Path: Streamline your processes so your team can easily navigate them. → Nurture the Essentials: Focus on the core elements that truly drive quality and customer satisfaction. → Regular Maintenance: Continuously review and refine your QMS to prevent future overgrowth. We recently helped a manufacturing client "prune" their QMS. The result? A significant reduction in documentation. Much faster onboarding for new employees. A noticeable improvement in product quality. So let this be your reminder that your QMS should be a flourishing garden that nourishes your business, not a wild jungle that hinders it. Is it time to take a hard look at your QMS? What's one procedure you could simplify today? #QualityManagement #BusinessEfficiency #ContinuousImprovement #VoltaInsite

During the equinox, the #Earth's axis and its orbit line up so that both hemispheres get an equal amount of sunlight. This year, the alignment happens March 19 at 11:06 pm Eastern Daylight Time. The word equinox comes from two Latin words meaning equal and night. That’s because on the #equinox, day and night last almost the same amount of time — though one may get a few extra minutes, depending on where you are on the planet. The spring equinox holds great significance for #planting and #gardening practices across various cultures and regions. Here's how: Optimal Planting Time: The spring equinox signals the official start of spring in the Northern Hemisphere, marking the time when daylight hours become longer than nighttime hours. This transition triggers natural cues for plants to start growing and budding, making it an ideal time for planting seeds and seedlings in gardens. Balanced Energies: During the equinox, there is a balance of light and darkness, as day and night are of approximately equal length. This balance is believed to create harmonious conditions for planting, fostering healthy growth and development for crops and garden plants. Symbol of Renewal: The spring equinox represents renewal, rebirth, and the awakening of nature after the dormancy of winter. It symbolizes a fresh start and a time of regeneration, making it an auspicious period for sowing seeds and revitalizing gardens. Traditional Practices: Many cultural traditions and agricultural rituals are centered around the spring equinox. These may include ceremonies, blessings, and festivities dedicated to celebrating the arrival of spring and invoking blessings for a bountiful growing season. Connection to Nature's Rhythms: Planting and gardening in alignment with the spring equinox allows individuals to connect more deeply with the rhythms of nature. It fosters an appreciation for the cyclical changes of the seasons and the interconnectedness of all living beings with the natural world. Overall, the spring equinox holds profound significance for planting and gardening, serving as a time of opportunity, renewal, and connection with the earth's cycles. It represents a pivotal moment for gardeners to cultivate new beginnings, nurture growth, and celebrate the abundance of life in their gardens and landscapes.
