INSIGHT INTO OUR COZY GAME STEAM EVENT 👁🗨 Marketing goals & results This year, for the second time, we organized the "☕ Cozy & Family Friendly Games Celebration" event on Steam, which was featured as a weekend deal on the Steam homepage. > https://lnkd.in/g_cqfKdV 🎯 MARKETING GOALS We set the following goals for the event: ▪ Support devs in promoting their games ⚠ IMPORTANT!!! ▪ Establish rokaplay as a cozy dev/publisher brand. ▪ Collect newsletter subs for our cozy newsletter. ▪ Make friends with devs/publishers. ▪ Build close friendships with relevant content creators. ▪ Promote our own games. 🚀 RESULTS: ▪ Several featured devs reported 4-10k wishlists on the first day. ▪ We attracted several top tier content creators as jury members for our award, like MadMorph with over 1 million followers on TikTok. ▪ Award winners proudly shared their awards, with their Twitter/X posts reaching over 3500 likes. ▪ We needed to upgrade our newsletter beehiiv account because we were generating 100-200 new subs per hour - 5 days long! Thx Tyler Denk 🐝 for this great tool. ▪ The graphic assets were labeled with ‘hosted by rokaplay,’ putting us in the minds of devs, publishers, users, and content creators. ▪ On the same day, we launched a daily deal with one of our games released in October in order to take advantage of synergy effects. ▪ 170 games participated in the event, with over 1000 submissions received. ▪ Some devs presented their demo for the first time at the event. The demos of Tiny Glade, Ova Magica, and Camper Van premiered during our event. How cool is that? As you can see, we aimed to create a kind of marketing flywheel for the cozy & family friendly community. We aimed to generate added value and hope that this effort has been beneficial for both users and developers. We were incredibly proud and grateful that 170 amazing dev teams took part.
