Katoro to cease all investment in Blyvoor, Namibian Iron Ore Following a review of the Blyvoor project in Gauteng, South Africa, and given the new direction of Aim-listed Katoro Gold and the need to focus on a clear pathway to high-value business activities, the company has decided to cease any further investment in this project with immediate effect. Katoro had previously entered into a binding conditional agreement to form a 50:50 unincorporated joint venture (JV) with Blyvoor Gold Operations and its holding company Target Mine Consulting to exploit potentially viable deposits of gold and any other minerals from six gold tailings dams. https://lnkd.in/dDZKFMXk

Oriole Resources PLC (AIM:ORR) has identified a new mineralised zone within the licence areas at its Bibemi project in Cameroon Sampling at the new prospect, Lawa West, returned 17 rock chips grading over 0.5 grammes per tonne (g/t) gold from quartz vein material, with best results of 54.50g/t Au and 38.40g/t Au. Mapping at Lawa West has also extended the mineralised strike length of to 6 kilometres increasing the total mineralised trend at Bibemi to 17 Km. Partner BCM International is currently funding up to US$4 million in exploration expenditure in return for up to a 50% interest in the project. We're pleased to report on our activities for the March 2024 Quarter. We successfully completed the acquisition of 100% of Côte d'Ivoire gold and lithium explorer CDI Resources Limited. This acquisition gives us complete control over seven projects covering 2,769 km² of granted mineral permits and permit applications, including the promising Tengrela South and Adzope gold projects. At Tengrela South, we completed 2,784 meters of aircore drilling targeting the southern extensions of gold mineralisation at the Podio and Logbog prospects and exploring a new gold anomaly. Drilling uncovered a new structure returning 4m at 5.22g/t gold, marking one of the top 20 gold intersections from over 63,000 meters of drilling at the site. Additionally, lithium minerals were identified in a pegmatite section near Logbog. Further exploration is set to continue with follow-up drilling at Tengrela South planned for the next quarter. A reconnaissance visit to the Adzope project has also identified immediate drilling targets, with soil sampling and RC drilling expected to begin following the anticipated permit grant. On the corporate front, we raised $3.75 million in conjunction with the CDI acquisition to support ongoing exploration efforts in Côte d'Ivoire and our existing projects in Western Australia. We also welcomed experienced geologist Stephen Ross as our new Managing Director. Another fantastic event organised by the British-Kazakh Law Association. Was delighted to be at their AGM & Summer Drinks yesterday together with Derek Lee. It was wonderful to connect and engage in meaningful conversations with Dr Natalia Perova, FCIArb, Rashid Gaissin, Jon Felce, Keymir O., Narmina Huseynova, Almat Madaliyev, Daniyar Makhanov and Gokmen Baspinar. One of the highlights of the evening was my conversation with Daniyar Makhanov from Astra Mining Ltd (UK) about their portfolio of valuable sulphide nickel, copper, cobalt, PGMs, and gold assets located in Central Kazakhstan. It was great to hear firsthand how investors such as Arras Minerals, Central Asia Metals, Ferro-Alloy Resources, and Rio Tinto are investing in critical minerals and the issues they face in exploration, with which the team at Astra Mining Ltd (UK) assists. The surge in technology now allows us to identify and extract minerals even from ores with lower concentrations, making these projects more viable and attractive. I was impressed to learn how rapidly the sector is developing in Kazakhstan. Amaroq Minerals Ltd (TSX-V:AMRQ, AIM:AMRQ)’s 2023 exploration programme at the Sava copper project in South Greenland has identified further evidence of a significant copper mineral system at Target West. The company's exploration efforts at Target West intersected notable #copper and molybdenum #mineralisation, indicating the presence of a large porphyry-style system. Amaroq’s 2023 exploration programme included four drill holes across two targets within the Sava Licence, totalling 2,200 meters, all completed within the allocated time and budget. The results from Target West confirmed skarn mineralisation with up to 11.6% copper and porphyry-style mineralisation with assays up to 2% copper equivalent.
