Welcome to the 6th episode of the Value Matters podcast discussing 𝑭𝒐𝒓𝒆𝒄𝒂𝒔𝒕 𝑺𝒕𝒂𝒃𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒚 with Nikos Kourentzes! This topic directly addresses a common challenge most have likely encountered when utilizing forecasts to inform decisions: instability. How frustrating it is when you create a plan, only for it to become obsolete shortly after due to an updated forecast! 😡 If you're tired of constantly refreshing your plans with each new forecast release, then you'll certainly find this discussion quite compelling. "The only thing that is worse than a feature that nobody uses, is a feature that only a few customers use." I had the opportunity to share this perspective recently on the "Productive" podcast, hosted by Ran Erez. We tackled a common dilemma in product management: when and how to retire a feature. It's crucial for us to continuously assess the value our features bring to a broad user base. Thanks to Ran Erez and Roni Harniv for the great conversation! The episode will be available tomorrow. Be a thermostat, not a thermometer. I heard this today on a podcast, and what a great analogy it is. Whatever the situation is, as a leader, you want to be the one that sets the temperature. You want to be the one that sets the tone. As a leader, don’t be a thermometer, because you will only react to the temperature set by others.
