Approval of Certificate of Lawfulness for existing use of just under 5 acres for equestrian purposes following an evidence-based application which showed that the applicant was able to demonstrate that, on the balance of probabilities, the use began more than 10 years before the date of the application. Extensive evidence was collected and put forward including statutory declarations, supporting statements and further correspondence with the Case Officer as to whether a material change of use had occurred as a result of the site being occupied by a charity (due to a requirement to prove that there had been no commercial use of the site). This application takes steps to regularise an enforcement matter at the site proving that, once again, Certificates of Lawfulness are a useful tool to regularise existing planning breaches where they can be sufficiently evidenced. #CertificateofLawfulness #Equestrian #planning #planningconsultants #bromsgrove

Genuine post here and I would really like to understand more about this subject so feel free to DM me a lesson in economics of facilities please…… When it’s decided to build a sports hall, swimming pool, gymnastics hall, bowls area, leisure centre etc in the main they are through council funding or schools that I assume are paid for by tax payers ‘offerings’ Is that correct —-in the main? If so why does everything cost so much to hire still, if it’s all been paid for already? Is that simply the funding for staffing and running costs? Totally agree if it is but it seems that prices to hire a sports hall (now anywhere from £50-£100 per hour) keep going up way higher than anyone can catch up to use unless you have loads of kids paying a lot of money or generous backers! Have I missed something major in my own basic assessment? Where does it end? £300 per hour halls? Charity owned facilities? Run down places that are not used anymore? Doesn’t seem to be thrilling future for activities wanting to grow was my thinking? Anything we can do to help these facilities pay the bills and thrive too? 🥺🤔🤔😔😔😔😡😡🤡🤡 James Weekes Ali Bird Stephanie Johnson Peter Dickson
