Did you start your week in #Edinburgh at the ESACT - European Society for Animal Cell Technology Congress? A handful of our team started with #genetherapy presentations yesterday. And for the duration of the event, check out Johanna Wagner, PhD presenting poster 291 on the impact of the N-1 seed train on rAAV production #efficiency. Missed a presentation or poster, or maybe the whole event? That's okay! We are available at business@ascend-adv.com any time.

What do you think? 🤔 A recent study found that only 5% of #animalstudies lead to human treatments. Is this a wake-up call to improve study design or is it a success? The Center for Reproducible Science at the University of Zurich, an European Animal Research Association (EARA) member, published the results. Study author Benjamin Ineichen attributes the low success rate to many factors, saying "...you have to consider how difficult it is to develop effective new therapies and how great the utility of a drug is for people who suffer from an illness." Where do you stand on the topic? How do we improve the probability of success? Are there limitations in animal studies that are holding us back? Should we design animal experiments to more closely resemble the human trials that may one day follow? #RevolutionizingResearch #invivo

The #mdcBerlin is getting on #BOARD24! "𝗕𝗢𝗔𝗥𝗗" stands for 𝗕e 𝗢pen about 𝗔nimal 𝗥esearch 𝗗ay. This global social media campaign is organized by the European Animal Research Association (EARA) and supported by the wider biomedical community, both public and private. Below, you will find several #research findings from some of our labs that would not have been possible without animals. Transparency about #AnimalResearch is a fundamental value for us, as it is for #EARA, all of its members, and participants of today's campaign. Get on #BOARD24!
