I help mid-career professionals get better jobs faster | Personal branding | LinkedIn | Resume | Interview | Negotiation | Career development | Find your "Next Act" Career = Make more money and find your purpose
To all the companies posting below-market salaries hoping to take advantage of desperate job seekers: Y’all know that the person you hire will leave as soon as they find a better-paying job, right? In fact, most won’t stop their job search when they work for you. At that point, you’re just a bridge job. Considering how expensive and time-consuming it is to interview and train someone - not to mention the damage to team productivity and morale with high turnover - perhaps it’s time to cut the crap and pay people a salary commensurate with your ridiculous job requirements? 🤷♀️ I'm feeling salty today. 🤨 #jobseekers #jobhunt #jobsearch #greenbannergang

FOR EVERY EMPLOYER. We all know that time is most valuable thing we have in life. Whenever you post an opportunity, please do mention if it's a only commission based job or salary and commission! I understand that you might not want to declare the full package, but AT LEAST mentioning the basic salary without the full package, this will save YOU and the candidate time. Come on, how many times you interviewed a brilliant candidate but left after Finally telling them the package? Change this "trend" please. #business #hr #employer #sales #LinkedIn #jobopportunity #jobseeker #businessgrowth #opportunity #vacancy

The candidate when it comes to accepting a counteroffer🤦🏼♂️: Counteroffers are often a band-aid solution to a deeper problem. According to the Harvard Business Review, 80% of employees who accept a counteroffer leave within 6 months. This highlights the importance of considering why you wanted to leave in the first place. REMEMBER: consider more than just salary when comparing offers. Long-term growth, job satisfaction and cultural fits are equally important. -- 𝙎𝙩𝙖𝙮𝙐𝙥𝙙𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙙𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝𝙏𝙞𝙢𝙗𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙚𝙚𝙙! ✨ Follow Timberseed for the latest job opportunities and career insights. 📧 Apply now: oscar@timberseed.com 𝙇𝙤𝙤𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙩𝙤 𝙝𝙞𝙧𝙚? 🚀 Reach out for expert advice: hiring@timberseed.com -- #recruitment #gradjobs #executiveseach

This explains the complex issue that is the employment market as of July 2024, in short: https://lnkd.in/e8PXi_AR And a link to the article Anna references: https://lnkd.in/easPhsbU #jobs #jobmarket2024 #hiring #labormarket

Let me sum up the 2024 job market 👇 Employers: See if we can get away with offering less. People are desperate for jobs right now. Jobseekers: That offer sucks but I’ll take it anyway and continue looking for something else. Jobseekers: (Find new job with better pay and promptly leaves the company that lowballed them 🙌) Employers: OMG nobody wants to work these days. Let’s get someone else in but don’t offer them too much because they might leave in a couple of months anyway Cycle repeats…… Come on employers you cannot complain about the problem you’re creating (and maybe put the salary in the the job advert to avoid wasting people’s time) Who agrees? #jobsearch #salary #fairpay #Humanresources
