Sometimes I get to look at things from a new angle. At AIAA ASCEND in a few weeks, I’ll present “What Commercial Space Told Space Force About Space in 2032 and Beyond.” This is a little bit of a new angle on space futures. This time we didn’t talk about what government needs and what commercial space is doing about it. Instead, we asked what commercial space expects to do in the future and what that means for government today and into that future. My co-authors Scott Maethner of NewSpace Nexus and Janet Tinoco of Runways to Space LLC made it a better and more rigorous paper than I could have produced on my own, and Peter Garretson, Gabriele Rizzo, Ph.D., APF guided the initial design of the thought process under the leadership of Joel Mozer.
