Thank you for all you do for our community!
I work in Security with an amazing staff at Ascension Oakland Hospital Michigan They are some of the BEST!
When we consider the connections of health, climate and tools and the interdisciplinary work embedded within concepts of synod… the reality of health, climate and tools work… the needs of privacy, transparency and proper oversight rise… community connections are very real.
Thank you for all that you do.
Thank you
It is well with my soul.
4moSpent 9 hours at an Ascension ER with my wife yesterday and last night. Took 6 hours to get into an exam. My wife was suffering with severe neck pain which had started days earlier and getting worse. When we arrived there were 4 patients in the waiting room. After an hour in the exam room, the ER physician did a drive-by physical exam and asked no questions to assess the pain. She prescribed IV Benadryl and Compazine and ordered a CT w/ contrast. After an hour with no relief of pain, I pleaded with the nursing staff to give her something for pain. Eventually they gave her 5mg of IV valium. From what I can find, none of these drugs are indicated for pain relief. After a total of 9 hours time there and no contrast given yet for the ordered CT, in tears my wife said, I just want to go home and go to bed. I forgot to mention the incompetent phlebotomist who got blood all over the place when drawing for labs and setting up IV. I got someone to remove the IV and sign us out, just after 12:30a.m Wednesday, originally signed in at 3:30pm on Tuesday. Westlawn ER Murfreesboro, TN- a complete circus 🤡. We are done with Ascension.
