You can see that we said pretty consistent with responses in all categories--calls, 911 responses, interfacility transfers and community paramedic responses--but you'll see this numbers decrease in September as we hunker down for winter. What do we do in the slower months? We still run plenty of calls but we also use this time for training to ensure we can serve our community with the highest standard of care. Just a few notes: The information presented in this graphic is based on incident dispatch call type. An incident is a count of each single, unscheduled emergency event for which EC Paramedics' assistance is requested. A response is a count of each time we responded to an incident. Here is a step by step guide to perform quality CPR & save a victim’s life 🫀🏥👩🏻⚕️ ✅ Make sure that scene is safe ☢️ ✅ Get help! Dial 108 🚑 ✅ Check pulse & breathing of the victim 💓 ✅ If no pulse & breathing, begin CPR ✅ Place your wrist at the centre of the chest with one hand on another 🖐️ ✅ 100-120 compressions per minute & 2 inches deep ✅ 2 breaths of air after 30 compressions ✅ Repeat until paramedics arrive 🏥👩🏻⚕️ Knowing CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) is crucial for common people ‼️Life-Saving Skill ‼️Time-Sensitive Response ‼️Accidents Happen Anywhere ‼️Community Safety A community where more people are trained in CPR is generally safer. The more individuals who know CPR, the greater the likelihood that a cardiac arrest victim will receive immediate assistance.
