We're taking strides to help ensure clean and safe water across the United States. 💧 For the first time, the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is putting strict limits on six of the hazardous “forever chemicals” known as #PFAS. Levels of PFOA and PFOS, used in nonstick and stain-resistant products, must stay below 4 parts per trillion in drinking water. Three more PFAS chemicals will be restricted to 10 parts per trillion. OIRA published the unified agenda for regulatory actions this past week. My takeaway from a PFAS perspective is that the Agency continues to have a regulatory agenda misaligned with their talking points (Research, Restrict, Remediate).
