In my role as a healthcare consultant, I've seen that skilled nursing operators and administrators often don’t realize they have an issue until it’s too late and the doors are closing. The gentleman I spoke with corroborated this, sharing that he often sees struggling facilities reject management help, only for him to end up buying these facilities within two years. 🧠💡 It made me ponder the fundamental question: When should we set pride aside and ask for help? It's not about admitting failure but recognizing the limitations of what we can handle alone. Sometimes, seeking assistance is the best step toward providing high-quality care for our residents and ensuring that our staff keep their jobs. Let's break the stigma around asking for help. It's okay to say, "Yes, I need assistance," because that choice can make all the difference in maintaining excellence and sustainability in our facilities. What are your thoughts? I encounter this on the I/D ( Intellectual disability) side as well. As a Compliance Officer Consultant, they only want to speak with you, when their back and the state is at their door. Let's work together to get things done.
