If you are a high earner but you “don’t understand money,” leave your bank and join a *good* credit union instead. I was lucky enough to get into BCU in 2017 because of my dad’s employer at the time. I didn’t even know how lucky I was because I “didn’t understand money.” The below story isn’t mine, but the spirit of it is true. BCU made a tangible difference in my financial trajectory. 1) They provide low interest rates on loans and cards. 2) They provide valuable financial education. 3) They don’t have predatory practices and won’t burden you with fees / penalties. Bonuses: - They literally pay me to have a checking account with them. - Their app/website is exemplary. Can easily do 99% things on my own. - Customer service is highly available, excellent communicators, and always on my side. Not all credit unions are like this so, find a good one. (This is not an ad. I just really love BCU.)
