❌Liberty Media to be investigated after Andretti get rejected to join the F1 grid❌ Do you think the reasonings for Andretti getting rejected are fair? 🚪The door seems to be getting shut due to assuming their commercial value isn’t going to be good enough and that F1 would bring more value to the Andretti brand, rather than the other way round. Ultimately, I think Andretti are at a disadvantage anyway as the F1 teams will be voting against an 11th team joining the grid to avoid diluting the prize pot.💸 For me, a new team is exciting. There would be more competition on the grid and also giving more good quality drivers the chance to drive in an F1 seat🍾 ❓What does this mean for Andretti now? Will they apply for 2028? Let me know your thoughts on this.. I am intrigued to know how you would feel about an 11th team on the grid💭 https://lnkd.in/e5nDdXdU

Sports Marketing! Look, I'll be honest: I'm not a big European football (soccer) fan, and while I am familiar with Manchester United as a franchise, I have no idea who Eric Cantona is (host in the promo video below). But you know who does obsessively follow Manchester United? ONE BILLION PEOPLE. This includes huge numbers of fans in China and India, in crucial emerging markets, so it certainly made sense last year when Qualcomm announced it was entering a sponsorship agreement with the club. Well... they weren't done. Today Qualcomm, Manchester United, and Adidas announced that Snapdragon is taking the coveted "front of shirt" (i.e., the front of every jersey will have a giant Snapdragon logo). This is an enormous deal in terms of exposure and brand affinity, and it comes at a time when Qualcomm is pushing Snapdragon beyond smartphones and into new markets, especially PC (and AI), automotive, and XR/spatial computing. This type of sports marketing accelerates acceptance of Snapdragon not just by consumers, but by decision makers at OEMs and channel partners. I'm expecting to have some fun on social media with the Snapdragon jersey as more details are announced, but I'm deep in the research/writing phase on multiple reports on Snapdragon X Elite PCs, Snapdragon-powered XR glasses and spatial computing, and, of course, Snapdragon phones. #branding #sportsmarketing #football #manchesterunited #snapdragon #automotive #XR #AI #copilotpluspc #smartphones #silicon

The NCAA pauses enforcement of NIL-rules related to collectives in perhaps the clearest sign yet that NCAA amateurism is collapsing as judges reject it as illegal price-fixing of the labor. A more free market awaits. Great insights from Tom Mars.

I really enjoyed reading this WSJ article about the creation of Red Bull and the disruptive impact it has had on the world of Formula 1. A triumph of drive, creativity, and the ability to see the world through a different lens, Also a great reminder of what is possible, especially in an increasingly disrupted world with arguably more opportunity than at any other time in our lifetimes. https://lnkd.in/eV5Wmj3e

In a landmark $2.8 billion settlement, the NCAA is set to enable direct athlete compensation, addressing antitrust lawsuits head-on. This monumental shift underscores the critical importance of effective claimant outreach and management — a cornerstone prioritized by forward-thinking legal teams. Absolutely impressed by Benedetto Vigna, Ferrari's new CEO. He is working to reduce Ferrari's "Bureaucracy Mass Index". A concept developed by Michele Zanini and Prof. Gary Hamel. In their book Humanocracy, Gary Hamel and Michele Zanini make a passionate, data-driven argument for excising bureaucracy and replacing it with something better. Drawing on more than a decade of research and packed with practical examples, Humanocracy lays out a detailed blueprint for creating organizations that are as inspired and ingenious as the human beings inside them. The BMI breaks down all work that a company does into a hierarchy of processes and assigns a score to each. The score incorporates three elements: a. Performance, defined as the efficiency and effectiveness by which the company can execute the process b. Impact, defined as the relative weight of that process on the company’s overall mandate c. Risk, defined as the probability of a negative event occurring due to process-related decisions.
