How to Organize Every Area of the Kitchen #Challenge How's your kitchen? Does everything have its place? Well, this month, your challenge is to get your kitchen organized!  I mean organized - not just cleared countertops. First, go through the following Areas/Zones in your home and look at the areas with a fresh eye. Pretend you are a stranger who was staying in your home and wanted to make dinner.  Will you be able to do those tasks easily? What struggles do you encounter? Then, ask your kids and partner to go through the kitchen and see if they can find other obstacles that stop them from finishing the task. Is there anything else they want to change? From the task results above, write down the problem areas in your kitchen in order of importance to you and your family. It can be tempting to use a room that's seldom used (like a guest room) to hold extra items you don't feel like putting away or don't quite know where to put. Keep your guest spaces clear of clutter but making sure everything has a home so it gets put back where you can find it. 2. Keep your serveware / napkin holders / placemats together, so when it's time to have company, you know exactly where it all is and it's easy to pull out. 3. Have a set day where you restock or replace all of the commonly used items in your house. From towels, soaps, to toilet paper.
