AMAZON , Don’t destroy AMAZON Our forests are disappearing at an alarming rate. Over the past few decades, we've witnessed the devastating impact of deforestation, with millions of acres of lush, vibrant ecosystems being cleared for various purposes. This alarming trend not only destroys the natural habitats of countless species but also contributes to climate change, soil erosion, and the disruption of vital water cycles. It's time we take action to protect and restore our precious forests and oceans and finally Earth before it's too late. NATO or other Organizations are also responsible for protecting our forests and oceans and all humanity with peace . They should respect to all thoughts without considering racism and finally developing to keep our planet Earth . We have no other place to live as alternative except Earth . Let’s young leaders control future of our planet.

Michael Stanley Gallisdorfer Tuna stocks are being managed and exploited already according to best existing scientific knowledge and at or near maximum sustainable levels. Tuna aquaculture is not easy and food conversion ratios of these fast moving species (some warm-blooded = more energy loss) are not really that favorable, e.g. FCR’s of Salmon and groupers are much better. Of course there is more and more Bluefin Tuna aquaculture, most are fattening operations, because of the lucrative prices in the Shahimi trade, but how big is that market? What kind of IUU Fishing on Tunas happens in the high seas is also concerning. Bluefin Tuna, Atlantic, Pacific and Southern species have been fished to lower, less economic levels not to long ago. So I am not really sure how much more you want to do here/squeeze out of the Tuna stocks? There may potential for expansion if you could enhance the stocks of the 20+ small planktivorous fish species which constitute their food, may be through artificial upwelling. Create a new food web for the small fish, i.e. first increase primary production to feed maybe the most important animals on the planet, the copepods, that most of these small fishes feed on. There are plenty of nutrients below the thermo-/nutricline 100-200m or less from the surface.

✍ The European Environment Agency recently published the new report on 'Urban adaptation in Europe'. With most people in Europe living in urban areas, cities play a key role in protecting citizens and improving resilience to the increasing impacts of the climate crisis. 🐏 The report takes stock of urban climate adaptation in Europe and highlights which measures cities are already taking in response to increasing climate risks. The city of Ostend (Stad Oostende, Belgium) actively works to implement climate adaptation actions and were glad to provide a successful practice for the chapter 'Why is urban agriculture important for urban adaptation' in this report: our urban agriculture park The Gardens of Stene (page 114). Climate change is already putting an extremely heavy burden on our "social safety net," and ultimately, that can cause social order to break down and degenerate into chaos. We're already seeing signs of this as 114 million refugees fled their homes in 2023 due to climate-related disasters, war, violence, and persecution.
