China equity market experienced sharp rebound last week, as the PBOC (central bank) and government released surprising stimulus package to support property and stock market. The CSI300 index jumped 15.7% for the week (23 Sep to 27 Sep 2024), and the total A-share trading volume more than tripled comparing to the week before. Borsa Istanbul resumes trading after suspension due to external markets fluctuations Earlier, the Turkish Statistical Institute announced inflation data for July on Monday ISTANBUL, August 5/ Borsa Istanbul Stock Exchange resumed trading after it was suspended due to a sharp drop in the BIST-100 stock index by 6.72$ due to fluctuations in global markets, in particular Japan, South Korea, and the United States, Haber Global TV channel reported. According to the rules of the exchange, trading is to be suspended if the BIST-100 index drops sharply by 5-7$, which usually happens due to external factors. Earlier, the Turkish Statistical Institute announced inflation data for July on Monday. It fell by almost 10% from 71.60% to 61.78%. Analysts expected the inflation rate to be 62.2% at the end of July, CNN Turk reported. #business #finance #financialservices

Asian stocks rallied on Wednesday following China’s announcement of a broad monetary stimulus package aimed at boosting the economy and restoring market confidence. The People’s Bank of China (PBOC) cut its one-year medium-term lending facility rate by 30 basis points to 2%. A day earlier, the PBOC’s Governor outlined plans to lower the reserve requirement ratio by 50 basis points by year-end and reduce key lending rates.
