Building Safer, Stronger Communities in Lake Macquarie 🚧
The Commonwealth Government is investing $15.4 million into local roads across Lake Macquarie, delivering vital upgrades that will benefit residents, businesses and visitors.
With a $6.6 million funding boost through the Roads to Recovery (RTR) programme, this partnership with Lake Macquarie City Council will see priority projects such as:
✅ Elizabeth Parade, Charlestown – Road rehabilitation, new footpaths and upgraded drainage.
✅ Gardiner Road, Dora Creek – Road and footpath replacement with improved drainage.
These projects are part of a broader commitment to double RTR funding nationally while also increasing investments in road safety through programmes including the Road Black Spot programme and the Safer Local Roads and Infrastructure Programme.
🌟 As Minister for Regional Development and Local Government Kristy McBain MP said, “When we work together, we get better outcomes for our communities.”
