Dashboard as Philanthropy I work in a highly practical and profit-oriented field — dashboard implementation! However, I also engage in teaching and strive to assist aspiring professionals by offering free internships, sharing knowledge… Another non-commercial aspect of our work that I take pride in is guiding my students to create free dashboards for charitable organizations under my supervision! Grateful for an Enriching Experience at Hope Uplift Foundation I am pleased to share that I’ve successfully completed a two-month internship at Hope Uplift Foundation. This internship, from June 12 to August 12, 2024, has been a remarkable learning journey, providing me with hands-on experience in various facets of nonprofit operations. During my time at HUF, I had the opportunity to: •Accounts Department: Gained an understanding of the difference between NPO and PO accounts, worked with Peachtree Software, and handled vouching and sourcing of invoices and funds received. •Application Writing & Helpline Operations: Developed skills in drafting donation pitches for individuals and NGOs and managed helpline calls, addressing issues and providing resolutions. •Administration: Attended detailed sessions on administration management, learning how to effectively manage staff and pitch for donations. •Digital Media: Created content for Instagram, YouTube, and the HUF website using Canva. •Women Empowerment HUB Store: Managed inventory, sales, and customer interactions while also contributing to the online store's product listings and descriptions. •Public Assistance: Explored different HUF sectors, brainstormed innovative fundraising ideas, and wrote letters to corporate CSR departments for potential partnerships. •Welfare and Furniture Shop: Managed invoicing, billing, customer relations, and product listings while assisting with the entire sales process, from donation collection to display. •Vocational Training Center: Learned about the center’s operations and how it empowers women through training in skills like stitching and pressing clothes. In addition, I had the privilege of stepping into a leadership role for two weeks, where I guided a team in executing several projects and initiatives. This experience not only enhanced my leadership and decision-making skills but also reinforced the value of teamwork and effective communication. This internship has not only expanded my knowledge and skills but also deepened my understanding of the critical role nonprofits play in community upliftment. I am incredibly thankful to Miss Lubna Shakoh, President and Founder, and Sir Shahroz Janjua , Director of the Internship Program, for their unwavering support and guidance. As I move forward, I am excited to apply what I’ve learned to future endeavors, always keeping in mind the importance of giving back to the community. #internship #nonprofit #leadership #hopeupliftfoundation #communityservice #professionaldevelopment

MBA Consulting Intern at JLL Chicago | MBA Candidate at Michigan Ross | Focused on Sustainable Solutions for the Future
🗣 Calling University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business MBA Class of 2025!! How do you aim to support social impact causes while at school and focusing on your career? 🤔 Most will volunteer or donate to causes they care about. Some others forego the traditional MBA career path and instead decide to pursue jobs that focus on social impact. 🤑🤑🤑 On average, interns for Investment Banking and Consulting make over $750 per day. 💸💸💸 In contrast, the average recipient of Business+Impact at Michigan Ross internship funding receives less than 1/4th of these salaries. The Give-A-Day Fund is a longstanding Ross tradition recognized by the University of Michigan for its innovation of encouraging peer to peer philanthropy. Any level of donation helps stretch their funds as much as possible to support more students. As a student-led fundraising initiative that is gearing up for its 14th year supporting our MBA peers engaged in low paying/unpaid social impact internships, please spread the word to other classmates however you can! 🙏🏼 Help create a more equitable experience for future classmates by donating one day of your summer salary, or by sponsoring one day of somebody else’s ---> https://l.ead.me/gadf2024 (P.S. Stay tuned for a special opportunity to help spread the GADF word AND have a chance to get some freebies 👀)

Your alumni can offer you more than donations. Here’s the hard truth: 90% didn’t care about fundraising as students. 90% don’t care about fundraising as alumni. But what DO they take away from their time at school? Memories. Experiences. Growth and Development. Career Counselling. Internships. The list goes on… And wouldn't it be insightful to understand how these programs impacted your alumni? What do they cherish and what do they feel could be improved? These insights are not just valuable; they are essential to improve your institution. This approach will enrich your community and foster a meaningful connection with your alumni. How is your organization engaging its alumni?

As the 2024 Auction Night approaches, we need your help with donations once again to make it a success! Your item donations will be auctioned to students during our annual Auction Night. Thus, gentle reminder to respond by April 8th, 2024, so we can coordinate accordingly. Since 1979, IF has provided stipends to MBA students pursuing summer internships that advance SOM’s mission of educating leaders for business and society. Thanks to the generous donations in the past years, over 20 students last year participated in social impact internships ranging from the National Park Service to the UN World Food Programme. Over time, we are seeing higher and higher levels of interest in social impact internships. There are two ways to give: 1. Donate an item/experience to IF’s Auction Night: We are currently seeking donations for our silent and live auction. Past alumni donations have included Broadway tickets, Polo retreats, sailboat outings, and more. If you would like to donate an item or experience, please reach out to a.jiang@yale.edu. 2. Make a tax-deductible donation to IF: As a benchmark, $200 sponsors a student for a full day of their internship. Every dollar counts! You can make your donation at tinyurl.com/IFdonate. Thank you so much for your generosity and support of the Internship Fund at Yale SOM!
