42 years ago this very day, a fleet of over 120 ships was being assembled, or had already set sail, on Operation Corporate- the British task force to liberate the Falkland Islands. 22 of them were from the Royal Fleet Auxiliary, and 62 from the Merchant Navy. The RFA of today is but a shadow of its former self, as is the Royal Navy, as are the other three British armed service *despite the soldiers, sailor, aviators, marine commandos, and special forces soldiers serving therein being the absolute best man-for-man, on earth.* The decline in Britain's military capacity and capability, in the face of a continually deterioriating global situation, and the inexorable re-arming of our enemies, can no longer been regarded as merely 'political incompetence', it must be considered, at least in part, to be treason. https://lnkd.in/gUHVZj99 #RFA #RN #RoyalFleetAuxiliary #RoyalNavy #MerchantNavy #Falklands #nationalsecurity #UnitedKingdom #treason #DunningKruger

U.S. military officers take an oath to the Constitution upon commissioning, pledging loyalty to the country and subordination to its laws. This oath underscores their commitment to follow lawful orders from civilian officials — the President, Congress, and the courts- who interpret the Constitution. Defending a democracy lies in the unwavering adherence to the law, a principle that forms the bedrock of the U.S. military officer’s role. Officership in a democracy demands characteristics such as good judgment and balancing martial excellence with humanity. Military culture and tradition support the officer's role, emphasizing the group over the individual and the necessity of hierarchy. A legal divide between the military and society is necessary to preserve democratic values. Ironically, it takes a small subset of the society devoted to the group to uphold individual rights for the larger society. How does this work in practice? Please click and find out.

In order to maintain our GDP the US must maintain a birth rate of 2.2. Recently the US birth rate dropped from 1.9 to 1.62. In support of "Legal Migration," I think there is a high likelihood that President Trump will deploy US military forces to the US border, under 10 USC §252, 284, 2808 and support state governors deployment of National Guard forces, under 32 USC §124.

TWO WORDS- There are two words which exemplify the mindset and philosophy of those first responders here AND our military abroad, who again and again put themselves in harm's way for complete strangers, answering the call on the front line to selflessly serve others. SEND ME~

Labeling policies as “woke” has become a polarizing shorthand in political discourse, especially when discussing military policy. While often used pejoratively to criticize diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, this label has real-world consequences for military families and service members. The careless use of “woke” as a catch-all critique risks more than just political fallout; it jeopardizes the well-being of service members, the trust of their families, and the operational effectiveness of the armed forces. Recognizing these policies for what they are—efforts to build a stronger, more adaptable force—requires reframing the conversation away from divisive rhetoric toward solutions that honor the sacrifices of all who serve.

Military service members and families should be the ones shaping the policies that impact our lives. Not politicians, left or right. My book called THE MILITARY STORIES YOU’VE BEEN TOLD comes out in 2025 and will debunk many narratives swirling around the all-volunteer force, but I couldn’t not share how labeling policies “woke” impacts military families and those who serve as it is being used to justify so many dangerous decisons. We look to our leaders on both sides of the aisle to push past the rhetoric and listen to the needs of our military to ensure we have a ready fighting force. Thank you to Brianna, CNN for having me. And to Secure Families Initiative Sarah Streyder Kate Marsh Lord Sue Luangkhot Hoppin Alyssa P. Kristin Bentley E.P. House and so many others for helping me prepare to do something that made me very uncomfortable.

January's Advisory Group had the honor of testifying before the House State, Civic, Military, & Veterans Affairs Committee in Colorado before the end of the legislative session on Senate Bill 24-205 (SB24-205). Public policy like SB24-205 that focuses on social equity, accountability and consumer protections ensures #aiforall, not just for some. It protects small businesses from over-efficient algorithms that cut out clients and brings the focus on improving outcomes. 📢 Listen below to hear the public testimony. #responsibleai #inclusivedesign #inclusiveai #responsibledesign

Weakening of Civil Institutions: Economic dependence on the military can weaken civilian institutions and diminish their capacity to hold the military accountable. When civilian leaders prioritize military interests to secure funding or support, it can lead to a lack of oversight and transparency in governance. This erosion of accountability undermines the rule of law and democratic processes, further entrenching military power in political affairs.
