~ Good Evening! ~ Today starts Mental Health Awareness month and I have made an infographic about mental health. I wanted to shed a little light on this because I know on this site, we see everyone's accomplishments more than anything. ~ We as people often compare ourselves to others around us and this can cause low self-esteem and self-doubt. We begin to think we are not moving quick enough, or when it will be my turn, or it can turn to jealousy. ~ All these emotional feelings play an impact on our mental health, and we can quickly begin to tear ourselves down. I want to talk about mental health because that is important. ~Remember to check on friends and family because they may be too afraid to speak up. If you are struggling, reach out to someone who will listen. ~ Always remember, Believe in yourself because you will only go as far as your mind will take you.

We shouldn't have a week dedicated to thinking about mental health. It should be something we think about every single day. But... humans have a 20 minute maximum attention span. I probably have a 3 second attention span. 😅 It's #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek this week, this years theme is get active Weeks like this are a great reminder. > It's a reminder to check in on ourselves and check in on marras. > It's a reminder to re-assess those priorities and values in our life. > It's a reminder that mental health tragically ends lives. > It's a reminder that every single one of us can suffer with our mental health. > It's a reminder to do more to raise awareness and take action. Whilst we should be thinking about our mental health everyday, having that reminder to consider the impact of mental health can go a very, very long way.

Workplace Life Coach at Clarity Coaching > Supporting my clients to identify and achieve their potential (both in English and Spanish)
Breaking the stigma about mental health is key to understand that only the strongest can look at themselves and say “something needs to change for me to advance”. If you break a leg it is obvious that you will go to the doctor and, if you don’t, everyone will say you are irresponsible and even stupid. But when you need help to understand what is going on in your mind… you are weak, right? Not true. And I am sorry to break it to the ones who have lasted up to this point of the post and still think mental health is a “hocus pocus industry”: mental health is as important as the water you drink every day. If your mental health is suffering your body will make you aware of it one way or the other, just listen to it before it is too late for prevention! Shall we talk? #mentalhealthawareness #mentalhealth #lifecoaching #bestrong

In order to raise mental health awareness, we need to talk more openly about mental health. One way to do this is to break down some popular myths, such as the idea that mental health is something shameful to be dealt with in private, that mental health is a sign of weakness, or that mental illnesses are rare. None of these are true! Dismantling these myths are essential to more open, honest conversations about mental health. #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth
