Students of the Bone Marine and Fisheries Polytechnic are undergoing internship activities at the Sinjai Site, South Sulawesi. The Student Internship Program is one of the Kampus Merdeka Program supported by AP2HI. Through this program, AP2HI focuses on improving the skills needed for the tuna fishing industry, both now and in the future. In addition, AP2HI also opens opportunities for the campus to conduct research on each AP2HI site. Hopefully this experience will enrich student's knowledge and prepare students for the upcoming challenges of the industry! #indonesianTuna #SustainableByTradition #fieldstaff #kampusmerdeka #magangmahasiswa

#Indian Craft and the ' Culture' of #Agriculture - The art of making something (useful) out of nothing - with Fire - Metal and Fellowship! The Universal Blacksmith! Continuing with the previous post- https://lnkd.in/gU5dV3KJ. Towards the Rural Internship for developing a Himalayan Blacksmith's Treatise ( #LauhaarShaastra ) by #GramDishaTrust, here is an update from the Interns about their discoveries on the Crafts of the #Pangna Valley of Himachal Pradesh. It is interesting that the inter-relations between communities appears subtly under the surface of transactions. These social relationships or #Jajmaani Vyavastha have stood the test of times in the Indian cultural systems - across India. One needs to develop a keen eye to look beyond the motifs of buying-selling and observe that the underlying or systemic transaction is truly #Karmic based. Spirituality may transcend into its esoteric nature, in its simple applied form - it exists within each community across the country. This relation exemplifies aspect of the #Jajmaan (a simplification of the sanskrit word #YagyaMaan) - where the craftsperson must do the best that they can in favor of their #Jajmaan. E.g. the act of making a customized sickle for a farmer by a blacksmith has this aspect of transaction to do more in favor of the latter, that to just recieve a portion of the crop or cash in return. Such aspects of transaction are greatly diluted with the deeper advent of Modernism in India - specifically the overlays of Urbanisation. Such overts cause society to slowly forget the aspects which made the fabric of #Bhaarat over the millenia. The Rural holds such aspects, not just for posteriety, but also daily practice. The Blacksmith is not just a craftsperson, but also a healer - as the Interns discovered in their journey. Much knowledge was transferred by the Blacksmiths, that one begins to see the tip of the Iceberg - as Indian craft communities actually represent. Slowly as these concepts are lost to time, perhaps the least we can do is document them to the best of our resources. This is the work domain of #GramDishaTrust. To end this post - here is going back to the #RigVed - how many know that the formation of the Universe is mentioned to be akin to the Blacksmith blowing life through their bellows! Where do you think that the name-word for blacksmiths came to be as 'Karmaar'? ब्रह्म॑ण॒स्पति॑रे॒ता सं क॒र्मार॑ इवाधमत् । दे॒वानां॑ पू॒र्व्ये यु॒गेऽस॑त॒: सद॑जायत ॥ Rigveda / 10 / 72 / 2 “Brahmaṇaspati filled these (genitive rations of the gods) with breath as a blacksmith (his bellows); in the first age of the gods the existent was born of the non-existent.” More such aspects in the forthcoming #LauhaarShaastra Pallavi Thakur Riya Pawar Vaishnavi Kadway Gargi Rathore Anupriya Khurana Yajurdevsinh Gohil Poorva Jambhulkar #AbhijeetGupta Shivani Khatri (Dropped Out)
