Is ethics interesting? Well, it should be. Ethics goes right to the very core of who we are. But if you are a CPA, Chartered Accountant, CMA, or other accounting or financial or insurance professional, and you've worked your way through some ethics CPE, you might have discovered that it wasn't necessarily all that interesting, even though it probably should have been. Well, we've been developing ethics CPE for over 30 years and we've done it in a way that, well, is designed to make ethics interesting. My name is Albert Spalding and I'd like to just show you the platform that we use for our ethics preference presentations. For accounting and financial and insurance professionals. We use the MI, CPA website, micpa.org, the Michigan Association of CP CPA's, even though we have many participants from around the country, North America, even from around the world. The platform where we're housed is the MIC B. If you go to that website mycpa.org and you click on the Learning tab, that will give you the opportunity to search the Learning tab. And when you do that, you want to look for the advanced search because that's where in the advanced search, that's where you can find your way to the materials that we have developed at Spaulding CPE. I might mention that. You can go directly to that area of the website by going to by browsing to micpa.org/C BC P/E slash store if you wanted to. Anyway, if you click on the advanced search options you can search by instructor, and if you search for Spalding, Albert, Wayne State University then you'll be able to see and and and search on that. You'll be able to see the various workshops that are available. That we have developed. Some are available as live presentations and usually here in Michigan and those change from week to week and month to month. There are also online live offerings, user group live and they count as in person and they're presented at various scheduled at various times throughout the week and throughout the month. So you'll you'll want to come back and look at those from time to time and then the self study offerings as well. Example. I'm going to give you a few examples of some of the topics Ethics. What is CPA in business and industry? Needs to know Ethics of big data? Is that a thing? Thinking ethically the science of ethical decision making, where we not only consider the sort of philosophical and psychological aspects of ethics, but we look at the neurological aspects of ethics as well. Are you qualified? The Ethics of practice, Development and Skill enhancement. I spy with my little eye and illegality. This is an opportunity to consider the nuclear non compliance with laws and regulations, aspects or pronouncements or promulgations that are now extant around the world taking Speaking of around the world, taking a global view of ethics. And then my last example is one of the most popular bumper sticker ethics versus professional ethics. These and other workshops are available at the aicpa.org website. And.
