Summer is the best time for fun road trips with friends and family. Australia is lucky to be blessed with amazing destinations from awe-inspiring coastal drives. Before you hit the road, check out our sizzling hot driving safety tips to keep you safe this summer! • ALWAYS LOOK BACK (ALB): Kids and animals are very sensitive to heat. They can quickly dehydrate and develop heat stress or worse. Before you even open your car door, make it a habit to "always look back" at your back seat to ensure your car is clear of children & animals. We practice this every day on the driveway! • SERVICE YOUR CAR: If you've let your car service lapse, book it in ahead of your road trip to avoid any surprises. • EMERGENCY KITS: Be prepared this summer and make sure you're carrying supplies that you may need in the event of an emergency. • KEEP COOL: The best way to keep your car cool in summer is to seek shade when parking outdoors. It's also handy to use a windscreen shade if you must park in direct sunlight. #firstclassvaletAU #valetindustry #drivewaymanagement #conciergemanagement #customerexperiencesmatter #autoindustry #valettechnology #tipstuesday

Don't forget about your employee's best friend! Families come in all sizes and shapes, and when relocating an employee it is important to not forget their pets. An airplane can be a dangerous place for a dog or a cat, and companies can help families find alternatives when travelling with their best friends. This can be done when arranging car rentals or soliciting adjustments on other transportations. Have you ever travelled with your pet? How was it? #moving #relocation #pets

🏃 Mission MCM: 16-Week Countdown: Tip #10- Go Off Road The national capital region, and a growing number of other metropolitan areas, have a surprisingly accessible variety of trails available for your next run. In most cases trail maps, access points, and driving/public transportation directions can be found on-line through an appropriately targeted search. Trail running has many benefits to include softer surfaces which lessen the impact of training on your body and increased shade to limit your heat exposure in hot weather. Additionally, the twists, turns, and elevation changes typical of most trails enhances the physical challenge while providing a scenic alternative to the monotony of consistent long runs on pavement. Running on single-track trails demands caution and attention to avoid the inevitable hazards presented by roots and rocks but pays you back over time in enhanced agility and the ability to remain focused and relaxed when fatigued. However, with the opportunity of a trail run comes the added responsibility to plan your route, bring your support (water, sports nutrition, and clothing to accommodate all potential weather conditions), and ensure your safety (don’t run alone in remote areas and always inform a friend or family member of where you’re going and when you plan to return). #RunWithTheMarines #MCMTraining #RaceDirectorTips #RaceDirectorsHQ

🚗 Driving Safety on Regional Roads: Tips 🛣️ Navigating regional roads can be an adventure but comes with unique challenges. Our team recently had an unforgettable encounter with a wombat during our trip to Shoalhaven, highlighting the importance of wildlife awareness on regional roads. Here are some essential tips to ensure a safe and enjoyable journey: 1. Gravel Roads: Keep a steady pace and avoid sudden manoeuvres on gravel roads to maintain control of your vehicle. Reduce your speed to adjust for the loose surface and be mindful of potential hazards. 2. Wildlife Awareness 🦘: Kangaroos, wombats, and other wildlife are familiar sights on regional roads. Stay vigilant, especially during dawn and dusk when animals are most active. Use your high beams at night to spot wildlife early and reduce your speed to avoid collisions. 3. High Beam Courtesy: When approaching oncoming vehicles, be courteous with your high beam headlights. Dim them to avoid blinding other drivers and ensure clear visibility for everyone on the road. 4. Take Regular Breaks 🥱 : Long drives on regional roads can be tiring. Take regular breaks to rest, stretch your legs, and refresh yourself. Fatigue is a significant factor in road accidents, so prioritise your well-being during your journey. Remember, safety should always be the top priority on the road. By staying alert, adapting to road conditions, being courteous with high beams, and taking necessary breaks, you can make your regional road trip a safe and enjoyable experience! #NationalRoadSafetyWeek #DrivingSafety #RegionalRoads #CrossleyTP
