We had our first pop-up! Last weekend we had our first pop-up event and meeting potential customers, in-person was incredibly valuable. Here's what we learned: Pros 👍Visitors were more responsive when they knew the founders (us) were the ones behind the stall. ☕️ Demonstrating how to use our product, whilst giving tasters quickly removed the barrier of entry and learning. 🤏 Visitors loved supporting a small local brand. 👨👩👦👦 Once you have one person at the stall others will follow. 🥛 People secretly love condensed milk Cons 🏭 Our product is not designed for coffee making en-mass, so it took time to brew as visitors were waiting (but this meant we could have a chat). 🥶 Keeping the coffee warm was a challenge as the temperature dropped! ↘️ Pop-up placement is SO important. We could have been placed better to capture more foot traffic. Takeaway This pop-up has proven one of the most cost-effective channels as we converted 50% of visitors with the rest flowing into our email funnel. Celebrating a win this morning. Took a lot of time and effort but pulled in a new client last week. This customer was very reluctant. They didn't want to talk, never had time, push back after push back, when we had a meeting scheduled they canceled last minute. Put a lot of miles on the truck but we finally arranged our first shipment (loading halfway around the world). Sell all of your services. Even if you are not well versed, you still need to offer. In the event (as in this case), you are not able to fully execute the request, bring in others from your company to do what they do best. GET OUT OF THE WAY! Be humble. At the end of the day, as a company, we're all on the same team. We did it. We made it happen, together. Cheers Logistics Plus! How are we celebrating you may ask? By picking up the phone and calling another prospect. The grind never stops. The cheetah must eat, and the gazelles are running faster and faster everyday. Be the cheetah!
