Mitch Landrieu was lieutenant governor of Louisiana in 2005 when Hurricane Katrina devastated the city of New Orleans and its surrounding area. When he was elected mayor of New Orleans in 2010, the city was still recovering from the storm and in the midst of dealing with the nearby Deepwater Horizon oil spill. All this to say: he knows what it takes to lead in difficult times. We caught up with Landrieu at this summer's Aspen Ideas Festival where he spoke onstage about what makes a great leader.
