Happy Women's Health Week! This year's theme, "Women's Choice and Voice," aims to inspire and empower women from September 2nd to 6th. Health decisions can be challenging, particularly when gender bias leads to delayed care, misdiagnosis, or neglect. These issues highlight the urgent need for increased awareness and action in addressing women's specific health concerns. At True, we foster an environment where women feel comfortable discussing their health issues with our clinicians. We must encourage women to have open, honest conversations about their health. As we celebrate Women's Health Week, it's crucial to ensure equal healthcare access for all women. This includes promoting comprehensive health education, implementing gender-sensitive healthcare practices, and supporting policies that prioritise women's health needs. #JeanHailes #WomensHealthWeek #YourVoiceYourChoice #WomensHealthWeek2024

As we close out Women's Health Week 2024, let’s remember the impact of courageous conversations in breaking down shame and stigma around periods and menopause. While only 28% of men understand how these affect women at work, 56% are eager to learn more*. This is a call to keep pushing for open dialogue—because the more we talk, the more we break barriers. Let’s keep challenging taboos and building understanding! 💬🩸✨ For more info on Women's Health Week, visit: https://lnkd.in/d8wYyNhN #WomensHealthWeek2024 #JeanHailes #PeriodsAtWork *Data sourced from the Essity Australasia Periods at Work Survey 2024, which included 1216 respondents, 207 of whom were men.

So you think Cranberry Juice cannot prevent UTIs? A lot of people stated yesterday that Cranberry juice preventing UTIs was the Lie, but you know what's interesting about this, there's no lie. Cranberry juice has been thought to help prevent UTIs because it contains certain compounds that can make it harder for bacteria, like the ones that cause UTIs, to stick to the walls of the bladder and urinary tract. Most women assume when cranberry juice is mentioned when UTIs are involved then they should just consume the juice. You cannot go to the grocery store and decide to buy an entire cranberry juice to prevent yourself from UTI. Some studies suggest that cranberry juice may reduce the risk of UTIs in certain groups of people, such as women with recurrent UTIs, but the evidence isn't clear-cut for everyone. It might not work for everyone, and it's not a guaranteed way to prevent UTIs. Cranberry juice has something inside it that makes it harder for these bad germs to stick to the walls of the bladder. It's like giving the germs slippery shoes so they can't hold on tight. When the germs can't stick, they can't cause as much trouble. So, drinking cranberry juice can help keep the bladder healthy by making it harder for those bad germs to stick around and cause a UTI. Always remember, cranberry juice is not a superpower; you still need to drink water and take care of yourself to stay healthy!
