Reflecting on the last 6 Months leading the EMEA Construction Channel Sales team As I mark six months in my new role, I’m taking a moment to reflect on the journey so far. It’s been a period of immense growth, learning, and adaptation. Here are some key thoughts I’ve been mulling over. Trust Building: I’ve learned that trust is built over time through consistency, transparency, and mutual respect. It’s the foundation of our team’s success, a success that lies in a high trust environment. Adaptation: Adapting to new ways of working can be challenging, but it’s also where innovation thrives. Embracing change has been crucial and I’m grateful for the daily support of my own leaders and peers especially Angi Izzi Mike Malkin Adam Herried AJ Jenkins FISM and Christina Linauts helping me to support my team better. Prioritisation: Leading multiple team members across EMEA has reminded me to be agile and strategic in prioritising tasks and goals, ensuring everyone is aligned and empowered is so important. But recognising that everyone else’s priorities may be different is even more so! I am deeply grateful for the support and dedication of my fantastic team,Danielle Foss Giovanni Quartana Hilal Çakmak Yaz Shqara Kimberly Eid, my mentors, and colleagues. Taking charge of the logistics for this edition of NMTC, which revolved around the theme of IA in business, digital marketing, and finance, was a profoundly enriching experience. It presented an intricate challenge that aligned perfectly with my appetite for navigating complexities. As I embraced the role, I found myself shouldering significant leadership responsibilities, paving the way for personal growth and the refinement of my leadership acumen. The scale of managing over 600 participants magnified the importance of efficient organization and meticulous planning. Eagerly embracing this formidable challenge, I spearheaded our efforts, juggling various roles to ensure each facet of this event not only met but surpassed expectations. Over the span of more than 5 months, my journey as a leader unfurled. Alongside our dedicated team, we committed ourselves to meticulous planning, seamless coordination, and flawless execution. Maneuvering through intricacies, we addressed countless logistical aspects, laying the groundwork for a seamless and unforgettable 3-day event. This experience transcended the mere management of logistics; it became a transformative journey of personal evolution. It imparted invaluable lessons on effective leadership, the essence of adaptability in navigating dynamic situations, and the rewards that stem from cohesive teamwork. Above all, it reaffirmed my steadfast belief that challenges serve as gateways to growth, and by embracing them wholeheartedly, extraordinary outcomes can be achieved."
