They also held two sessions on the 12th and 13th of April to describe how the event will be handled. Last weekend I went to my first hackathon in San Francisco. And… I ended up winning it! The vibes were so different than any other hackathon I’ve ever been to. There were no prizes, no big sponsors, no merch and not much food. And I loved this. People just wanted to build cool stuff. And they didn’t need any incentive to do it. It felt so authentic. So… what did I built? I made a chrome extension that helps you read articles faster and understand them better with AI. I spend a lot of time reading online. While reading, I often I find concepts that I don’t know about. So I open a new tab, make a google search and start clicking links looking for an answer. This context switching kills my flow and focus on the main article and it increases the time required to finish it. So this is where the extensions that I built comes handy. When reading online, you can hover any keyword and get a definition, images and resources to learn more, without ever leaving the page. You can also summarize paragraphs, turn them into bullet points, translate them to your language and more. If you want to try it, just reply below! Would love to know what you think.

This is the progress I made last week on programmatic hackathon video memoirs, my project for buildspace's nights & weekends s5. I spent many many hours in Jonny Burger's Remotion creating the react compositions. I was hugely inspired by githubunwrapped - if you have a github profile you should check it out! Hi all, I recently participated at the tech for tomorrow hackathon at Google Singapore, along with Viral Mehta, Sai Bulusu, and Ignacy Januszek. We developed VoiceVerify, an Android app leveraging a machine-learning model to identify if a caller might be using a deepfake to impersonate another person's voice. Despite being eliminated in the semifinals, we had a wonderful experience creating our hack within just two days and receiving guidance from our mentors at Google.
