Today at the Farnborough International Airshow, we announced several major milestones across our Overture, Symphony, and XB-1 programs. This included the unveiling of Overture’s flight deck, Symphony’s rapid advancement into engine testing, and XB-1’s progress toward supersonic flight. 🚨Reinvented the cockpit with all-new flight deck for Overture.   🚨Advanced Symphony engine into rig testing. 🚨Full-scale engine core to be operational in 2025. 🚨Expanded partnership with StandardAero to include engine assembly in San Antonio, Texas.  🚨Added industry leaders Universal Avionics and ATI to Boom’s global supplier network. 🚨Shared XB-1 is on track for supersonic flight by year-end with flight two upcoming. These announcements come on the heels of accelerating momentum. In June, we completed construction on the Overture Superfactory in Greensboro, North Carolina. AERODYNAMIC BENDING OF AIRSHIPS. The aerodynamic bending caused by wind gusts in airships is an area of confusion, and is not well covered in the FAA's present Airship Design Criteria type certification rules (a complex and unrealistic formula is used) nor in the Light Sport Aircraft LTA rules (no formula is given to calculate bending). Here is my effort to clarify those, with the goal of safer airships.

Once sanctioned, the aircraft-on-a-chip will be constructed according to the stipulated design and tested at Edwards Air Force Base. Should the physical aircraft correlate accurately with its digital counterpart, then from a research and development viewpoint, the aircraft-on-a-chip qualifies as a functional airplane. This digital-first approach allows for updates and enhancements via software, bypassing the costs, time, and environmental toll typically associated with traditional physical modifications.

*A Blended Wing X-Plane with Hovering Capability* ✈️ 🔹 Aurora and Boeing are collaborating to develop the next X-plane of DARPA to develop the key technologies that will combine the speed and stealth of flying-wing with hover capability 🔹The fan-in-wing (FIW) concept combines an embedded lift fan in a BWB design, enabling the aircraft to take off vertically. The SPRINT-X technology demonstrator can be scaled to medium/heavy lift platforms with 130 ft wing span 🔹The demonstrator will have a 45 ft wing span, a 1000-pound payload capacity, and can fly up to 400 KTAS.
