The ranking of countries by fleet of military aircraft for 2021. The rating is outdated and does not reflect the real impact of the number of military aircraft on the country's defense capability. For example, the F-16 and F-35 are completely different weapons carriers in class. However, it demonstrates the budget cost of countries for the maintenance of the fleet of aircrafts.

Washington DC mid air collision: A question mostly for my Brit contacts. I’m of the opinion that the RAF does see the ATC position for the whole country, liasing with the CAA, but only does specific ATC for an RAF airfield. Have I understood this correctly? If yes, one wonders what the USAF does. Do they not also watch the whole picture and talk to armed forces pilots as necessary? If it is the case that there was only one civilian ATC for all the airspace the USAF need to explain how they protect their assets.

United States Air Force United States Marine Corps US Navy Bell Flight Boeing Defense, Space & Security Just watched the PBS News segment on the V22 Osprey's engineering catastrophic failures for the gearbox, hard clutching, and drive systems. In addition to the leadership problems on why this weapons system has caused a number of fatalities, it is also a foreign policy failure. While the Osprey does possess unique tactical capabilities in the field, these capabilities would not be as necessary and there would not be as much pressure to field this weapons system if America did not feel the need to police the rest of the world. America must change her foreign policy to an America First approach and this weapons system should be grounded until proper reengineering and testing can be done to ensure the safety of military service members. The President of the United States, Commander in Chief, is not allowed to fly on this craft, so why would you allow service members to use it? The primary role of the military is to defend the homeland. These other nations cannot neglect their responsibility to defend their countries and it is not the responsibility of the United States.
