While I’m optimistic about the potential benefits, there’s something we shouldn’t overlook. Just as our minds guide our actions, AI will be guiding these robots. If AI, which already struggles with issues like hallucinations and misinformation, is directly connected to robots, what could the consequences be? The impact on the physical world could be profound, and it’s something we must approach with both enthusiasm and caution.

What's the state and future of humanoid robotics? An esteemed roboticist, Jun-Ho Oh shared his insights into this. 👇 Oh reflected that the natural progression towards humanoid forms is because robots operate within human spaces. For instance, it's natural to develop and have robots with human-like abilities for tasks such as opening doors or driving cars. Additionally, he notes the significant potential of humanoid robots. And, when it comes to imbuing AI into humanoid robots, there's a need to balance aspects of autonomy and safety. The faster and stronger a robot is, the more unsafe it could be if it acts unpredictably. He further notes the critical need for a balance between autonomy and safety.
