ALP (Association of Labour Providers)’s Post

One thing that we have heard quite often in consultations and round tables for the forthcoming changes to employment legislation is that workers often don't know where to find information and advice about their rights. Gangmasters and Labour Abuse Authority (GLAA) is a great source of all sorts of information - explore their website for downloadable resources if you haven't already done so. https://lnkd.in/eWUc5vkm

The GLAA is a UK government agency. Our mission is to stop worker exploitation. We have helped seasonal workers who have been exploited at work to make sure they receive the pay and conditions they are entitled to. In this short video workers explain what they paid for before coming to the UK to work. You should not be charged for work in the UK so if anyone asks you to pay them money to find work then it is probably a scam. If you or a friend or relative are asked to pay money for someone to find you work then tell us. Email contact@gla.gov.uk or report online: https://lnkd.in/gQWEaKU
