What to do if a policy maker rejects your meeting request? When you lobby, there will be people who don’t want to meet you, so what do you do if they are important to your issue? First of all make sure you have done your research and have a strong hypothesis on your common ground, then: 1.     Find common ground with someone they do want to meet and get a shared meeting. 2.     Look for events they participate in, show up, bump into them and do your best. 3.     Go via your trade association. And if none of this works? Maybe there is someone else you can meet with instead? Other suggestions? Please share!

The Terms of Trade were instrumental in breaking the monopolistic hold that public service broadcasters (PSBs) had on commissioning, enabling independent producers to negotiate better terms and exploit their content across secondary windows. This legislative milestone has been central to unleashing the entrepreneurial spirit within the sector, transforming it from a market fraught with failure to a vibrant, globally competitive field.
