Association of Women in Mining in Africa’s Post

Dear all, Today I would like to write with my heart. I have been recently honored by the "Association of Women In Mining in Africa (AWIMA)" who has counted me among the inspiring women leaders in the African mining sector. I have been blessed to receive a Sustainability Award during the ceremony which was held in Accra on the 11th June 2024 for my " contributions towards improving mining health and safety, and promoting sustainability and ESG". I am really grateful to GOD for His Grace and Faithfulness; Thank you LORD! I am grateful to my family for their unconditional support during my career. It was not always easy. Thank you! I am really grateful to all my peers and industry colleagues who have nominated me. Feeling humbled by your appreciation; Thank you! I would like to thank each and everyone who has always believed in me, supported me and pushed me to be the best version of myself during this journey because, for sure, I could not make it alone. Thank you! My special gratitude today goes to my professional family at "Barrick Gold Corporation/Kibali Gold Mine" for the incredible and indefectible support since the official announcement of this award; From the sponsorship of the Award ceremony, the support of the trip for the ladies who attended the ceremony and much more. Moreover, on this Thursday 04th July 2024, Kibali Gold Mine has honored me again by organizing a special diner to celebrate the award. Nothing was left from the choice of the venue in the Majestic room at the Hilton hotel, to the rest...
