A question I've been getting asked a lot recently: "Is it the right time to leave full-time employment and operate as a contract QP?" Right now, my answer is no; it is not the right time. There are plenty of available seasoned contractors in the UK, and with a reduction in demand for contract QPs, our clients tend to choose the experienced consultants for critical projects. The contract market is always fairly sluggish over the summer period, but historically there is a spike after October.
