I have noticed that several projects on GitHub use direct database queries to set up and tear down test data in "UI automation" tests for cutting down execution time. This practice is not advisable because database schemas can change frequently, leading to brittle tests that require constant maintenance. Instead, using API calls to create or update test data is a more robust approach. API interactions are designed for external interaction and less prone to frequent alterations. Today completed my first project as a Data Engineer. The Project consists of two Packages, with the following steps. 1. Generates file names from a Sql Task. 2. Runs the file name to a For Each Loop Container. 3. The Container has a Data Flow Task that Sources Files from an On-Prem Server to a Flat File Destination Folder. 4. The File is Dynamically Named per each Runfilname+RunDate. 5. A SQL Script task Generates new file names that will be sent to my Script Task 6. The Script Task (C#) uses the Previous names to GetFiles from the previous location and sent the files to a SFTP. Then the Customer can extract their Data at per Request. The last task us to Deploy and monitor it to Production, since im Part of Production Support

They help to encapsulate data and ensure that only the necessary information is exposed between layers or services. Here are 𝐟𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐫𝐮𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐃𝐓𝐎𝐬, followed by senior .NET developers: 𝟭. 𝗞𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗗𝗧𝗢𝘀 𝗦𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗙𝗹𝗮𝘁 DTOs should be simple, flat objects without any business logic. I did a thing :) https://lnkd.in/gRPX8xuz I was sick and tired of writing import scripts (I had to do it like 3 whole times), so I made this Appwrite Utils allows you to, in any new codebase (existing will work too once I have the synchronize command), initialize a configuration file. This file has many benefits, among which you can: - Define imports for data (goodbye manually converting JSON files) - Define conversion functions (stupid integers tryna ruin my imports by not being strings) - Define validation functions (I love you Zod but I need to know if this is an object and I don't want to define on the fly schema) - Generate schema, so you can always keep your database in-line with your schema, and parse those objects for type safety (ungh) - Define after import actions (want to upload a file and get its ID for a certain field? sure!) - Oh did I mention you can extend any of the above to do whatever the hell you want? With the templating system below, you basically can do anything from imported data - Has a string templating system so you can use fields from - The created document, the JSON data, the current database ID, the created document ID, and more! - Run backups via command (automatic coming soon) - Most (will soon be all) operations are tracked via migrations database - Can run dev, production, staging, and god I'm tired Huge shoutout to Appwrite for being the worlds best database (this is totally not biased at all)
