🚀 Hot off the press! Scout Space Set for First Standalone SDA Satellite Mission We are pleased to announce that Scout Space has signed a Launch Services Agreement with ABL Space Systems to launch our “Owlet-01” satellite later this year. This 16U space domain awareness satellite will be the first standalone operational SDA satellite from Scout, featuring our advanced Owl long-range optical telescope and autonomy software. This mission will not only validate our Owl product line of optical payload systems but also demonstrate the advanced capabilities of our data exploitation and autonomy solutions. Moreover, our team’s ability to execute this mission on such a tight schedule is remarkable—we are taking this mission from concept to launch in less than six months. This includes not just the primary payload build within the next 90 days, but also the full integration and test of the bus within a few short weeks that follow. Japan may have just found a new solution to the increasing issue of space debris. Collaborating with Australian contractor EOS Space Systems, startup EX-Fusion Inc. How fast can a rocket be launched? Previous record was 21 days from notice. Great things happening in the rapid launch arena. The VICTUS NOX mission demonstrated that Tactically Responsive Space (TacRS) missions are capable of meeting urgent Combatant Commander needs on tactically relevant timelines. Firefly Aerospace accepted a #SpaceForce challenge to launch as fast as possible. 🚀 In Sept 2023 Firefly successfully launched the U.S. Space Force’s VICTUS NOX mission within 27 hours after receiving notice, shattering the previous record of 21 DAYS; demonstrating a critical capability for the United States to rapidly respond to on-orbit needs during a conflict or in response to a global national security threat.
