Did you know that many full ride scholarships really want you to have leadership experience? It's true – about 65% of them do! You could be a course representative, departmental association executive, or even a member of the students' union government. I've talked before about how great volunteering is for you. Now, let's talk about leadership. When there's a chance to be a leader, don't be shy – step up and take charge! Sure, I know being a leader can be tough as in that shoe myself, but if you plan your time well, delegate task, you can do it. In this new year, I'm encouraging you to jump into a leadership role. Get involved in student clubs or your departmental association, volunteer to be a course representative or contest for a position. While in position, ensure you contribute positively and impactfully. Importantly, don't forget to document and write about your experience on your social media.
