The Milky Way in the Southern Hemisphere is a sight to behold for any stargazer or casual observer. Not only does it contain constellations, nebulae, and stars not found in the Northern Hemisphere sky, but it also showcases the bright galactic centre of the Milky Way overhead. I took the following picture of the Southern Hemisphere Milky Way using my mirrorless camera and lens from Yulara, Australia. Learn how I took the photo, the equipment I used, and the best camera settings for your perfect shot: https://lnkd.in/gQjhmpeV

Out now from Markosia on DriveThruComics! Asteroid Adrift Imagine being Hilary Nova or James Caleb. Imagine finding yourself in a deserted place after a major accident. Imagine that you have no way out. Imagine having to rely only on people who travelled with you, strangers that you don’t know or know anything about. And to top it off, imagine that you don’t even know anything about yourself. Asteroid Adrift is primarily a love story about two people finding themselves in a lost situation. There’s no plane or island in this story, but a space shuttle and an asteroid instead. Hilary and James will have to battle to stay alive, but their biggest battle will be internal, in spirit and mind, because nothing happens by chance, there is always a reason for everything…yes, even for a shuttle crashing into an asteroid drifting in deep space. No, not lost. But adrift. Written by Marcello Bondi and Jack Briglio and illustrated by Riccardo Bevilacqua, check our website to find out how to download Asteroid Adrift on DriveThruComics now! https://lnkd.in/ePFEufrE #markosia #comics #graphicnovel #indiecomics #drivethrucomics #digitalcomics #ukcomics #britishcomics #asteroidadrift

We are, indeed, strange beings and, if we are truly the only ‘intelligent’ (our own definition of ourselves) beings in the universe, an extremely irrational race. We are setting up a ‘deep space radar site’ to observe the progress of our ongoing competition to destroy ourselves while doing nothing of any consequence to stop our planet destroying us, despite having the knowledge and capacity to do so. Some of us also believe that, having chosen our means of self-destruction, we will be rescued by a supreme being in order to spend eternity either celebrating or regretting our earthly existence. https://lnkd.in/e2YS-UDq
