With the Paris Summer Olympics just round the corner, team Spoogle dived deep into its databases and came out with some interesting insights. Being held since 1896, the summer Olympics are one of the oldest multi-sport events in the world apart from being the most prestigious. Thousands of medals have been won by nations across numerous sports and events over the years and we decided to create an all-time list of the most successful countries at the summer Olympics. Points have been awarded for each medal won, 𝟱 for a gold medal, 𝟯 for a silver and 𝟮 for a bronze medal. The 𝗧𝗼𝗽 𝟭𝟬 most successful nations of all time across all event stagings have been laid down based on medal points earned. Some of the insights that surfaced include: -   The United States easily leads the pack by a huge margin as being the most successful nation at the summer Olympics of all time with 𝟮𝟲𝟯𝟲 total medals won. -   The United States have an almost absolute edge when it comes to the sports of athletics and aquatics. -   The Soviet Union have done the best in Gymnastics and Combat sports More details in the attached document. The relevance of story telling in an ad.

Billiards? An Olympic Sport? Well, the overall image of billiards back in the 70's, 80's and 90's was not ideal, specially as a sport. It was considered mostly a hobby, a pastime activity, and entertainment. Nowadays, things have changed a lot. Thanks to those individuals, federations and companies who see it as a sport and do everything they can to push it forward, towards its inclusion to the Olympics of Brisbane 2032. Billiards have come a long way. Today, Billiards is a sport recognized by the International Olympic Committee – IOC, it is a member of ARISF, it works closely with World Anti-Doping Agency and it is included in The World Games 2025 in Chengdu. The WCBS - World Confederation of Billiards Sports, is spearheading the efforts by presenting the values of Billiards to the Australian Olympic Committee and Brisbane 2032. What do you all think? Should it remain a sport or is worth it becoming an Olympic Sport?
