According to several studies many of the world’s top entrepreneurs—like Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, and Elon Musk—along with Nobel Laureates have a common, rare skill called “integrative complexity.” Integrative complexity is the ability to develop and hold opposing traits, values, and ideas and then integrate them into larger ones. These findings go against conventional wisdom in the business world, which is that we should double down on our strengths and mitigate everything else. They are also opposed to conventional tribal wisdom that says we should pick one side of every polarity and vehemently fight for it. You can read more at Michael Simmons and Blockbuster Blueprint.

A truly great organization prospers over a long period of time, beyond any great idea, market opportunity, technology cycle, or well-funded program. When clobbered by setbacks, it finds a way to bounce back stronger than before. Last year, over 1,900 CEOs left their positions, and a record of 19 of them died while in office, according to The Wall Street Journal. Among those who stayed in their roles, a study by Deloitte found that 82 percent experienced exhaustion indicative of burnout, while 96 percent felt that their mental health had declined. Founder and CEO of Eric Williams, MBA Williams, has spent over 20 years leading teams, hiring, training, and managing more than a thousand employees. Additionally, he has advised over 300 entrepreneurs and executives. To help overwhelmed leaders get their businesses and lives back on track, he started Willity with a focus on three key areas: the mechanics of their schedule and operations, their leadership skills, and honing their identity and personal superpowers as a leader.
