🎱 NVIDIA supplier SK hynix to build $6.8 billion #chip plant in #SouthKorea. The recent investment by SK hynix of 9.4 trillion won ($6.8 billion) to build a new plant in the Yongin #Semiconductor Cluster is a significant move. The plant, set to begin #construction in March 2025 and complete by May 2027, is part of a total investment of 120 trillion won aimed at establishing four fabs in the cluster. This investment underscores SK Hynix's strategic focus on expanding production capacity amid the #global semiconductor boom, particularly in #artificialintelligence applications.
