We’re hiring! Please read all of the below as it would require multiple years of law school admissions experience. I could hire 2 people right now fitting the above (please do not message if you do not have law school admissions experience; that is an absolute requirement) and with training there is currently a huge demand for our admissions consulting services right now that we cannot meet. But there is a caveat. Things will slow down in November. Which means if we don’t find the right person now (and we are very selective in hiring) we would rather have one or a few part-time people start in November. Then there is the potential of switching to full-time in 2025 if you have that flexibiiity and if demand stays as high next cycle. We cannot predict next cycle demand and we have seen that some firms just hire in a free for all, only to have to let go of people the very next cycle due to the ebbs and flow of demand each year. We will be completely candid about how well we are doing right now but that there are no guarantees for future cycles as the applicant numbers are hard to project.

Summer hiring slowdown? Nope. While the overall volume of attorney hiring in Florida might be down, I have not seen a slowdown as we enter the summer. What I do see is a slowdown in attorneys considering a lateral move. Many attorneys wait until the fall/winter to consider making a move because it's been programmed into their minds to wait for their year-end bonus before making a move. But when the majority zigs, you need to zag. In the summer, you will have less competition and many firms will match year-end bonuses. If there might be a better opportunity for you, are you really going to let the time of year dictate your happiness? You need to take control of your career, now. HOUSTON M&A JOB OF THE DAY Unposted through Key Choice Recruiting 2018 - 2021 law school grad years Partnership: Real path to partnership for 2018-2019 grads. Why? They are light in these years and there is huge opportunity in M&A at those years especially for 2018s. Hours:  In 2021 (busiest year for corporate), the average associate billed 2100. In 2023, the average associate billed less than 2000. Do NOT believe the rumor mill. I have real data on billable hours at this firm I can share. Vacation: Associates take 2 full weeks off and do not bill on vacation. There is a staff member who manages vacations. She will assign a new person to your deal team to cover while you are gone. Most corporate associates here take a full 2 weeks of vacation without logging on. If you don't believe me, I have a 6th year who has been at 2 other firms who is happy to chat with you. He has real knowledge of other firms M&A groups and would be happy to connect with you.
