DASNY is always looking to stay on the cutting edge for its clients. This week, President Robert Rodriguez was able to see how modular construction is transforming the service potential at Odyssey House, a NYS OASAS provider agency. In 2010 DASNY began exploring the utilization of modular construction to serve agencies and organizations across New York and has completed multiple projects in that time. Now, in New York City, DASNY is managing the expansion of the George Rosenfeld Center for Recovery. This three-story, 22,500 sq. ft., expansion consists of 71 modular units. Beginning in December 2023, the project will be completed in the Summer of 2025, saving 12 months over traditional construction.

A great video of Rupert Daly and Barbara Lantschner working with Scotland’s National Retrofit Centre construction team to develop Passivhaus knowledge and experience. We are working for Built Environment - Smarter Transformation designing Scotland’s National Retrofit Centre, in Hamilton. BE-ST aims to showcase the potential of the built environment and the supply chain in Scotland. The retrofit project serves as a demonstrative tool, highlighting innovative materials and methods. John Gilbert Architects are working with Clark Contracts, Narro, Lùths Services, Brown + Wallace and CDM Scotland Ltd to deliver the National Retrofit Centre. This training helped the whole construction team to consider the quality required, consider the details designed and work together on sequencing and delivery.

It was a pleasure to host students from the University of Denver earlier this month. Supporting the education of the next generation not only broadens their minds but also boosts the economy and enhances community safety. The labor shortage remains one of the biggest challenges facing our industry and will likely persist for at least the next decade. We are focusing on mitigating the impact of this ongoing shortfall. #dlcohencc #huroncomponents #offsiteconstruction #manufacturing #productivity #quality #multifamilyconstruction #construction #components #multifamilycommunity #Denverconstruction #production #design #futureofconstruction
