A dramatic "retrojet" shot to start the week! In this striking photograph we see Continental's circa-1955 "Blue Skyways" livery on Boeing 737-924ER "N75435." The color scheme was chosen after an employ voting contest between several potential historic CAL looks. This image was captured as the airplane was in a climbing turn having just departed Newark International's Runway 22R one morning in July 2017. As many of you know 2017 was quite a few years after the Continental/United merger. It is a credit to United that it has not only retained this retrojet but even transferred the colors to another 737 (for reasons unknown). United currently has an A320 painted up in UAL's 1972 "Four-Star Friend Ship" livery as well. Interested in legendary Pan Am? Krueger flap operation: Krueger flaps are high lift devices that are fitted to all or part of the leading edge of the wings of some aircraft types. As the opening of slat or leading edge flaps might not fill the gap between wing root and fuselage, the Krueger flap is opened to fill the gap and improve aerodynamic characteristics. An additional six weeks later, the XLS was successfully delivered and reinstated into service, much to the customer’s complete satisfaction.   The project’s implementation involved the pivotal participation of AeroVisto sites in Staad and Schnaittach. These sites adeptly distributed tasks and workloads, fully utilizing AeroVisto’s capabilities.
