Movie awards season hit Britain on Sunday evening as actors, directors and movie execs celebrated the 2024 BAFTAs. Notable winners include Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer, which picked up the Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor along with awards for cinematography, sound and editing. Also picking up several awards were Poor Things starring Emma Stone, The Holdovers and The Zone of Interest. However, were any investors left smiling by the results? Universal Pictures, which is owned by Comcast Corporation (NASDAQ:CMCSA, ETR:CTP2), was the production company behind Oppenheimer and owns Focus Feature, which made The Holdovers. However, it’s likely the market has already taken into account all the value generated by both films, with screenings of Oppenheimer taking place in mid-2023 and The Holdovers having been released in limited theatres. Absurdity of the Consumer Society. Cinematography. Part 9 ❗️Over the past decades, movies have imposed on us patterns of solving earthly problems violently, where you have to use force to overcome issues. Today, if we look at the picture as a whole, 8 out of 10 modern movies feature weapons, violence and murder. ⚠️ And we think that's normal. What's normal? Watching one person beat or kill another? Is that normal in a society of civilized people? 🟢 Rumble: rumble.com/v4izejx-absurd… 🔴 Youtube: youtu.be/Es6S3F8dark #CreativeSociety #GlobalCrisis #Responsibility #ActNow #SPEAKUP #climate #climatechange #climatecrisis #Spring #March #WednesdayMotivation #WednesdayVibe #WednesdayWisdom #WednesdayThought #cinema #FilmTwitter #whattowatch

Founder, CEO & CCO, Eye-Q Films(Estd2004):: Media Production House - Content Creation I Line Production l 360 degree Creative Video Support System
I saw '12th Fail' again. Twice in 3 days. I think '12th Fail' is our entry at the Oscars. The Film ticks all the boxes, in my view: - A story eminently worth telling. - Transports you to a certain time and place. - Is elevating. And then the bare minimum: - Pitch perfect casting. - Locations as real as they can get Makes one realise locations are almost as critical as casting. - Great performances, great music, great cinematography, great everything. I think one big decision was to tell the story in a linear fashion, and resist the temptation to intercut between past and present, multiple storylines, or to try some other screenplay jugglery. What do you think? #12thfail #suureshspeaks

GET REGISTERED NOW - SEATS HAVE ALREADY SOLD OUT ONCE! HBO Camera Assessment Series October 7, 2024 Sie FilmCenter 6:30 p.m. - 9 p.m. UPDATE: Owing to popular demand, the series has opened up an additional 140 seats! The HBO Camera Assessment Series, started more than 10 years ago, is a one-of-a-kind project that seeks to create a rich and expansive image library, available to producers, directors and cinematographers across the entire WarnerBros Discovery family. Twenty-five years ago, the paradigm was simple. If you were shooting a dramatic series for HBO, you were shooting it on motion picture film. Today, it appears that film is now a smaller sub-sample of the wide array of choices offered to filmmakers. This does not, however, make the choices any simpler. How would "Game of Thrones" have looked if they decided to shoot it on a RED Camera or a SONY Venice instead of an Arri Alexa? How would "The Sopranos" have looked if it had not been shot on film? The goal of the HBO Camera Assessment Series: Season 6 (CAS2023) is to continue shooting them with the latest high end imaging tools, we can present an in-depth and thorough review of the strengths and weaknesses of each camera system. This comparison allows filmmakers to make an educated decision on what system is right for their film or show. CFVA - Colorado Film and Video Association
