Last month, the Anaphite team showcased our Dry Coating Precursor technology at the Innovate UK Business Connect Cross-Sector Battery Showcase! ✈️It was a great opportunity to hear from the aerospace, rail, maritime and defence sectors on the role that batteries will play in electrification of these sectors. It was also interesting to hear about the differences and similarities in the technical and market requirements for batteries for these applications. 🌱Anaphite’s Dry Coating Precursor technology enables dry battery electrode coating to unlock cheaper, more sustainable batteries and help cross-sectoral decarbonisation. 🐎It’s a horses for courses situation so not all applications will use a battery as their primary power source or even need a battery at all. We are very happy to announce a new technology partnership under the European IPCEI Hy2Tech framework with Elcogen! “We are happy to join forces under the umbrella of IPCEI Hy2Tech with Elcogen. Together we will address the key challenge of industrialising SOEC –the scale-up to industrial relevant module sizes. We look forward to developing this stack module solution with Elcogen and demonstrating it in our IPCEI Hy2Tech program.” SOEC is a game-changing electrolyser technology enabling intrinsic higher efficiencies compared to Alkaline, PEM or AEM electrolysers. Moreover, when SOEC is coupled to external heat sources from industrial processes, efficiencies in the range of 90% and beyond can be achieved. This advantage makes SOEC the technology of choice in industrial hydrogen production and also in e-Fuel production, especially where the exhaust heat of the synthesis process can be used.
