Great article from Todd Winther. This latest article published by DSC highlights some key changes reflected in the Home and Living Section of the NDIS Review. Tom's Oscar analogy made for a fun read but emphasised the crucial role these changes will play in shaping the landscape of disability care - may not necessarily be the lead, but is definitely an important supporting role! An important piece from this Review reflects on how providers understand the flexible home & living funding program, introduced as the budget setting pathway for 24/7 support. Ensuring participant programs and budget allocations align with how house rosters and staff, will continue to be a challenge for providers, but is solvable. Navigating these changes and then adoption will ultimately help to optimise the much needed 24/7 care delivery programs. Whilst at the same time, ensuring a profitable house that allows for the continuity of sustainable, quality care.
